About Us
It all started with a pack of solar panels... Founded in 2018, Dan Holliday is dedicated to creating top-quality renewable energy systems to advance a sustainable future. Dan handles inquiries and oversees installation, commissioning, and future customer support.
No two systems we have ever installed have been the same, and we'd like to think no two will ever be. DMH Electrical and Renewables customises each system to fit each family's needs, including panel number and battery size. Not every home needs a massive system to fill every square inch of roof space and have enough storage to run a small town.
Solar design is a fine line to walk. To help with this, we also offer power and energy logging with our in-house Chauvin Arnoux PEL103. This has been a great tool for commercial and farm jobs. The farm lacked a smart meter to track energy use, so logging and reporting before the solar design helped maximize savings and avoid overspending.
This mission isn't a one-man job; we rely on Dan's wife for customer handover packs and Helen for bookkeeping and office tasks two days a week. Edmundson's Electrical Stockton supplies 99% of our materials, providing excellent service and a trusted name for warranty claims in the electrical industry.
The Team
Dan Holliday - Director
Tea, milk with 2
Spending most of his time out on rooftops installing Solar PV, Dan is the director of DMH Electrical and Renewable, ensuring that every client gets the same attention to detail with each job. Dan is excited for the continued growth of DMH, and the challenges that running a growing company day to day bring while taking customers on their own journey into a Renewables future.
Jay Shear
Coffee, milk with 1
Jay came into the industry after a lifetime of wagon driving, whilst his passion for renewables and all things green drove him to the change. Jay also worked for 3 years as a general electrician and decided to change to renewables in 2024, joining Dan at DMH in July 2024, has continued to build on his skills and now heads up most of the roof works out on site
Kym Holliday
Tea, 1 Sugar
Kym has watched DMH has grown from Dan going self-employed back in 2017, to where DMH is today, supporting Dan however she could. But its now time for her to help in the day to day running of the office allowing for a better customer experience from first point of contact through to final customer hand over. When not at work, Kym enjoys spending time with her family, looking after the family 3 kids (and Dan!)
Helen Evans
Coffee black 1 sugar
Helen joined DMH Electrical and Renewable as the bookkeeper for the company. First meeting Dan when he came to quote for solar PV and battery storage at her home, what materialised was a working partnership with DMH Electrical and Renewable just 2 months later. In her spare time, Helen is a keen Beekeeper, which resulted in the DMH hive now producing honey!
