From Concept to Completion: The Customer Journey

The customer journey to getting renewables installed at a property is a simple but crucial one. If the right measures and standards aren’t set, then issues can arise. In today’s blog, we go into detail about each stage of the customer journey into getting renewables and why we spend so much time perfecting it. You can also watch our video on the customer journey linked below.

Enquiry

The first point of contact we get on any project is in the enquiry stage. This could be through a call, whilst we are out on a current job or even through social media channels such as Instagram. The best way for DMH to understand your enquiry in the most amount of detail is by filling out our contact form. There you can tell us more about the property, the work you would like to be carried out, as well as any grants you are eligible for.

Consultation

After you fill out the contact form, you will get an automated email to book a discovery call with Dan and the team. This is to learn more about the property so we can start to build a quote together for you. Because you are choosing when you want the call to be booked, it isn’t coming out of the blue.

There may be times when a client doesn’t have the technical knowledge to see any problems their property may present, so on occasion the team may need to visit the property to make sure that it is fit for electricals or renewable systems. During the discovery call is also

Quote

After we have assessed the property and formulated a plan of what the installation needs, we will provide the client with a desktop proposal with a quote on the work to be carried out and the price it will cost.

Decision

The quote in the desktop proposal gives the client a clear understanding of what DMH will be working on. Clients can take as long as they want with this, however, we usually renew after 7 days.

Booking and payment plan

When the client has agreed to the quote, a proposal will be sent with an e-signature. Once this is signed, a deposit invoice is sent, and it’s time to wait for the G99 to be approved. These take between 4-8 weeks to be signed off by DNO, something that you can read more about in our blog.

Installation and commissioning

We aim to get the scaffolding for your installation up the week before so that the team can start working on your install in good time. This is when we can start to work on the installation of your backup gateways, inverters, heat pumps and solar PV.

Regulatory paperwork

We ensure that your system is checked before the system is completed and all required paperwork is filled out and handed to you in your handover pack. This is completed back at the office where our team can pull together everything you need to keep on hand for your final system.

Completion

That’s it! You now have a renewable or electrical system on your property that you will be reaping the rewards from. We offer maintenance packages to make sure that your systems are still performing at maximum efficiency, something that we can book in with you at your convenience.
